HOLLINGSHEAD

From Sweden comes this rock assembly, stationed in the royal capital of Scandinavia.

It was the brainchild of the highly talented organist and pianist Carl Westholm (Avatarium, Candlemass, Carptree, Krux, Dec Burke, Jupiter Society, Leif Edling, The Doomsday Kingdom).


With the intentions of creating magic and musical witchcraft, Carl began slowly but surely to gather the missing pieces. He joined forces with the skilled heavy-hitting drummer Fredrik Haake (Badge, Meldrum, The Vanity Set, God is my co-pilot, MOA, Roger Manning, Andy Summers, Sideburn), and together the two of them soon teamed up with one of the most accomplished bass players ever created on Swedish ground, Johan Niemann (Evergrey, Therion, Mind’s Eye, Xorigin, Moonstone Project, Tears of Anger).



Having heaven, hell and earth, they went looking for their preacher to complete the landscape.

Almost two years of searching finally yielded results, when a friend to Carl hinted about this mysterious and gifted singer from Sweden's underground stoner/doom metal scene, Gidon Tannenbaum (Mother Kasabian, Obrero, Space Elevators).

Carl reached out to Gidon, and the mountain of sound was complete.



Hollingshead unlocks the door with the key of imagination. The door to another dimension; a dimension of melodious and mind bending music combined by darkness, light and old mysticism.
